About Sarah
I decided to make my career as a registered dietitian because I found it fascinating learning how our bodies break down food and how the nutrients are used for our benefit. I believe that understanding the “why” for eating healthy helps motivate us to make healthy choices. Through the past 20 years I have been a registered dietitian, I have enjoyed sharing this knowledge in a nonjudgmental environment. Being a mom of 5, I know the struggles of trying to juggle a busy schedule while maintaining healthy lifestyle choices. In addition to my personal experience, I have experience helping individuals make healthy changes for various reasons such as weight loss, cardiac health, diabetes, gut health, kidney disease, cancer symptoms, and more. I’m so excited to get to know my new clients through the Nourish community and am motivated to assist you in reaching your goals.
Approach to care
I pride myself in being an empathetic listener, meeting people where they are in their journey, helping them establish realistic goals, and offering tips and encouragement along the way. I believe the most successful journeys are the ones that began with gradual, realistic changes we can live with for the rest of our lives. My hope is to assist my clients in their journey to inform and gain perspective on the value that various foods can bring.
Your first session with Sarah
During our first session we'll spend time getting to know each other. I'll ask questions to become familiar with your lifestyle, typical diet, eating habits, medical history, and goals. We'll come up with a plan and set a realistic goal or two to begin working on before our next session.

BS in Dietetics, Eastern Michigan University
Hobbies
Spending time with my husband and our 5 kids, cooking and baking, walking, cycling, being in nature, enjoying animals.
