About Sarah
I am a registered dietitian with extensive experience in eating disorder and women's health support. In addition, I have years of experience working with people to improve heart health and general health overall. I am passionate about nutrition and helping people cultivate sustainable, healthy habits that can be maintained throughout life. I want to dispel scary misinformation about food and health that is so often seen online, that can make knowing how to nurture our wellbeing and support our health challenging. I have spent many years traveling and sailing (and eating) with my family and friends. I love my coffee and donuts as much as my fruits and veggies and enjoy baking and cooking.
Approach to care
My approach to care is rooted in my deep belief that each person is unique, and their care should be as well. I will meet you where you are at and work with you to create a plan that involves listening to your needs and accommodating your lifestyle and goals to improve your health and wellbeing. Often this includes a meal plan, food and nutrition education, accountability, goal setting and reframing thoughts and beliefs about food and body image. I believe in non-dramatic, research backed nutrition and health information to support and guide a safe and accommodating plan, where actionable change can happen and be maintained.
Your first session with Sarah
In your first session, I like to discuss your health and wellness history and ask you what you are hoping to gain by meeting. Often, this will include your current beliefs and patterns pertaining to food, nutrition, and body image, as well as health goals you are hoping to make and maintain. I will review your current diet and lifestyle habits and assess where changes and improvements can be made for improved health and longevity. Throughout the first appointment I encourage questions to be asked and feedback to be provided about recommendations and goals we are making together so that you can be successful for the longterm.
