About Sarah

My interest in nutrition began as an athlete, where I saw how strongly food impacts daily health and performance. This inspired me to pursue nutrition more formally, leading me to Boston to study sports nutrition and work with gyms and college athletes. I later transitioned into inpatient clinical care, where I recognized how many patients needed continued nutrition support after discharge but couldn’t always access it. This experience motivated me to move into outpatient care, where I can provide ongoing, evidence-based guidance tailored to each person’s needs. Today, I’m committed to helping individuals build sustainable, healthful habits and feel supported at every step of their wellness journey.

Approach to care

My approach to nutrition counseling is grounded in partnership, respect, and empowerment. I work collaboratively with each patient to understand their lifestyle, health goals, and personal values, developing realistic strategies that support wellness at any age and activity level. To support progress, we use practical, personalized tools such as goal setting, flexible meal plans, nutrition education, food logs, and tailored recipes. These are chosen collaboratively to ensure they are manageable, relevant, and aligned with each patient’s goals. I emphasize shared decision-making and behavior-focused support to promote long-term autonomy. By providing evidence-based guidance and encouraging patient-led goal setting, I aim to create a supportive environment where individuals feel confident, informed, and actively engaged in their health.

Your first session with Sarah

During your first nutrition session, we’ll take time to get to know you and understand the full picture of your health. We’ll review your medical history, lifestyle, and any factors that may influence your nutrition needs. Together, we will also walk through a diet recall to better understand your current eating patterns and identify areas of strength and opportunity. We’ll set clear expectations for our work together—what you can expect from me as your provider and what you can expect from yourself as an active participant in your care. Every session, including the first, will end with collaborative goal setting so you leave with a personalized, realistic plan to get you started on your path toward improved health and well-being.
