About Sarah
Hi, I'm Sarah and I am so excited for the opportunity to work with you 1:1 on your nutrition goals! My interest in nutrition stemmed from growing up on a 4th generation farm. The foundation of first handedly seeing where our food comes from and the curiosity to learn more about how that food impacts our bodies and overall health led me to obtain my Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Ashland University. I have ~6 years of experience working as a dietitian in several areas including oncology, physical rehabilitation, and critical care/ICU. I am passionate about the power of nutrition for disease prevention and management which led to me obtaining my board certification as a certified specialist in oncology nutrition. It is easy to feel lost and alone when wanting to take the leap to make healthful changes to your nutrition and lifestyle, but I am here to work alongside you to help you climb those big mountains and achieve those wins.
Approach to care
Scientific evidence guides how we make changes, but compassion shapes how we do it. I combine current, science-backed practices with a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral lens so we focus on behaviors and well-being rather than numbers. Our work together will be warm and nonjudgmental, yet direct and action-oriented, translating research into manageable, sustainable steps. I aim to empower you with practical education, a holistic view of your life, and realistic strategies we can adjust together over time.
Your first session with Sarah
In our first session, we will take time to get to know each other and dig a little into your medical history, nutrition history and your expectations and goals for the time that we spend together. I strive to provide you with a warm, judgment-free zone where we'll take a look at the bigger picture rather than rush to a quick fix. We'll review your medical history and talk through daily routines, wins, and frustrations so I can understand what matters to you. Together we'll establish short-term goals that feel doable and meaningful, and I'll give clear, practical strategies you can try between visits. You don't need to have it all figured out, just bring your questions and what feels realistic right now.
