About Sarah
Sarah has been a Registered Dietitian for over ten years and has worked with people of all ages. She found a passion for diabetes education early in her career and is also a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. While diabetes is her primary specialty, she also has extensive experience helping others manage various chronic conditions through nutrition.
Approach to care
Sarah uses an all foods fit philosophy to teach you how to manage your conditions without sacrificing the enjoyment of food. Sarah's biggest desire is for you to make peace with food and take the focus away from the scale. Sarah understands there is not a one-size-fits-all diet and will meet you where you are to help you implement changes that are attainable for you.
Your first session with Sarah
Your first session is a time to get to know each other, begin the foundation of nutrition knowledge, and, as you are ready, set a plan to work on together. I will ask questions to get to know your medical history, what you typically eat, your biggest challenges with your diet, amongst other topics. Ideally, we will set a couple of realistic goals to work on until our next session, which we can build on each session.
