About Sarah
I'm Sarah, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist based in Southaven, Mississippi. With twelve years of experience spanning clinical hospital settings, outpatient care, and community health, I have developed a deep passion and expertise in diabetes education as it affects so much of our population. I am dedicated to empowering individuals and families to manage diabetes with confidence, using practical, evidence-based nutrition strategies that fit real life. While diabetes care is my specialty, I also have extensive experience supporting people with a wide range of chronic conditions, always focusing on realistic and sustainable nutrition changes. Outside of work, youâll often find me enjoying walks, practicing yoga, baking, exploring new restaurants, traveling, or spending quality time with my family.
Approach to care
My approach is rooted in both science and genuine care for you as a person. I believe in meeting you where you are, blending evidence-based guidance with heartfelt support. Together, weâll turn research into simple, practical steps that fit your lifeâalways with encouragement, never judgment. I honor your unique journey, viewing health through a lens that celebrates every body and prioritizes lasting, meaningful change over quick fixes. Your mental and emotional well-being are just as important as your nutrition goals, and Iâm here to support you as a whole person. Education is at the heart of my coaching, so youâll feel empowered to make confident choices long after our sessions. My goal is to help you build a positive, healthy relationship with food, and to walk alongside you as you reach for your health goalsâalways with compassion and understanding.
Your first session with Sarah
Our first appointment is a conversation about you. We'll review your medical history, establish short term goals, and get to know your history with dieting and your relationship with food. You do not need to have it all figured out yet; we will move at a pace that feels comfortable. We'll identify 1 or 2 realistic next steps to start with and set expectations for how we will work together. The goal is to leave feeling understood, supported, and clear about the path ahead.
