About Sarah
My previous work experiences include: working with high risk pregnant mothers and high risk infants at WIC and working with residents in long-term care. I am a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. I started my own health journey in 2011 and lost 60 lbs. Losing weight through diet and exercise encouraged me to pursue a career in dietetics. I understand the struggles of being obese from first hand experience and am continuously working on leading a healthier life. My passion has always been to help others achieve their nutrition goals. I am a mother to three girls and a wife to a wonderful husband. Family and health are important to me.
Approach to care
I provide nutrition care that is tailored to the individual through incorporating food preferences and life circumstances. I approach nutrition through healthy lifestyle changes, not dieting. I understand the struggles of food insecurity, living with those with different or no nutrition goals, and being surrounded by less healthy food. My philosophy is no food is bad food, and moderation is the key to a happy, healthy life.
