About Sarah
I am passionate about nutrition, mental & physical health, and promoting a safe and happy relationship with food. I feel so blessed to be a dietitian because I love talking about food and I love supporting people who are working toward their health goals. I primarily work with people wanting to manage their weight and/or diabetes or improve other health measures like cholesterol and blood pressure.
Approach to care
I care about you, your goals, and your health. Together we can look at your current diet pattern, identify room for improvement to better nourish your body, and set goals to help you feel accountable and be able to measure your progress. I believe miles are walked with many small steps, and diet pattern changes are made with small habits we make every day. We'll typically focus on small habits to reach big goals. My personality leads me to take a more gentle cheerleader role, but for those who like hard fast rules I can be a stricter coach if that's what you need.
Your first session with Sarah
I want to know where you are now. I will likely ask you several questions about your daily routine, your food and beverage choices, and your exercise habits. No judgment! I just want to know where your personal starting line is. Then we can make a plan for progress that is catered to your specific situation. It is helpful to me if you can come prepared with a list of everything you ate and drank in the past 3-4 days (or if it was a totally crazy week, just make a note of everything you normally eat and drink).
