About Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah, a registered dietitian with nearly 20 years of experience helping people find a way of eating that supports their health and fits their real life. I’m passionate about making nutrition feel approachable and helping people move away from guilt, shame, and rigid food rules. Whether you’re managing diabetes, working on heart health, navigating emotional eating, training for a race, improving your energy and well-being, or figuring out how to eat well while using a GLP-1, I’ll meet you where you are and help you find a realistic path towards your goals. I work with clients of all backgrounds and health goals and focus on progress over perfection. I believe that lasting change comes from understanding your life, habits, and what’s driving your patterns.

Approach to care

My approach is practical, flexible, and centered on you as a whole person. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans or cutting out foods you enjoy. Instead, we will focus on sustainable behaviors that work with your lifestyle. I take a weight-neutral approach to care, meaning the focus is on health-supportive behaviors rather than a prescribed number on the scale. At the same time, I support clients whose goals include weight loss and approach that work with care and respect for individual experiences. I'm really interested in exploring the why behind eating behaviors, including emotional and stress-related eating. Rather than viewing these patterns as failures, we will work to understand what role food is playing and how to identify and better meet those underlying needs. Sessions are collaborative, relaxed, and judgment-free. I strive to create a supportive, inclusive, LGBTQIA+–affirming space where you feel respected, heard, and cared for.

Your first session with Sarah

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to nutrition counseling. We’ll discuss your goals, daily routine, eating habits, health history, and any concerns or challenges you’d like support with so I can understand the full picture. Together, we’ll begin identifying realistic, meaningful changes we can build on over time. Above all, I want you to feel comfortable, supported, and confident that this is a space where you can be yourself and make progress at a pace that feels right for you. I look forward to meeting you!
