About Saydee

I’m Saydee Carl, PhD, RDN, LD, with a passion for making nutrition feel realistic, approachable, and actually livable. I hold a PhD in Nutritional Sciences and have over three years of clinical experience, with an additional two years in outpatient counseling. I have also taught nutrition at the collegiate level, which has shaped my ability to translate complex nutrition science into guidance that feels practical and relevant to everyday life. I’m also the founder of Atomic Phoenix Wellness, where my work is grounded in evidence-based care and the belief that big change starts with small, sustainable steps. I enjoy working with clients across a wide range of health concerns and life stages, especially those who feel overwhelmed by nutrition, burned out by dieting, or unsure where to start.

Approach to care

My approach focuses on consistency over restriction, nourishment over rules, and meeting you exactly where you are. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans or perfection-based expectations. Instead, I work collaboratively with you to build habits that fit your lifestyle, preferences, and current season of life. I aim to create a supportive, judgment-free space where nutrition feels flexible and empowering—not stressful or rigid. Sessions are evidence-based, personalized, and often light-hearted, because I believe compassion, curiosity, and even a little laughter belong in healthcare.

Your first session with Saydee

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you as a whole person—not just labs, weight, or food logs. We’ll talk through your health history, current concerns, daily routines, stress levels, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. By the end of the session, you can expect clarity around your next steps, realistic goals that feel doable, and a starting plan tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave feeling supported, heard, and confident—not overwhelmed.
