About Sena

Some of my earliest memories are of shadowing my mother at work. She was a compassionate, hardworking healthcare provider, and I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps. Around the same time, I noticed how different my family’s meals looked compared to my classmates’. Growing up in a Turkish household in the United States, that contrast sparked my curiosity about food, culture, and how our choices at the table shape health and well-being. Cooking became one of my earliest passions, and as I grew older, I realized that combining this love for food with my drive to help others made becoming a Dietitian the perfect fit! What inspires me most is helping people discover how food can be both nourishing and joyful. My clinical experience has shown me how powerful nutrition can be; not only in preventing illness but also in supporting healing. Having worked with patients of all ages, I know nutrition isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I’m passionate about helping you find what works for your life!

Approach to care

I believe food is one of the most powerful tools we have for health, and that it should never feel restrictive or overwhelming. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in up-to-date science. I take the time to understand your goals, cultural background, preferences, and lifestyle so that together we can create a plan that feels realistic and sustainable. My style is supportive but practical: I’ll celebrate your wins, help you navigate setbacks, and give you the tools to feel confident in your choices. Whether you’re managing a health condition, looking to prevent one, or simply hoping to feel your best day-to-day, I’ll be your partner in building a healthier relationship with food and with your body.

Your first session with Sena

Our first session is about you! Your story, your health, and your goals. We’ll talk through your health and nutrition history, what’s been working for you (and what hasn’t), and where you’d like to go from there. This is a safe, judgment-free space where you can share openly, and together we’ll map out a plan that feels both supportive and doable. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling hopeful, motivated, and confident that you have someone in your corner who will walk alongside you every step of the way!
