About Shalese
Hello, my name is Shalese. I'm a Registered Dietitian that understands what it means to struggle with weight loss. I spent years in a cycle of restrictive eating or strict calorie counting. This cycle would only yield temporary results. I used the word of God to improve my mindset while learning to get rid of diet mentality. I'm a recovering restrictive eater and now eats from grace and not guilt. I'm passionate about helping patients heal their relationship with food.
Approach to care
I believe that nutrition is individualized so I tailor each plan based on the patients needs. I use a non- diet approach which I call eating from grace and not guilt. I use the word of God in helping patients heal their relationship with food. I believe that the word of God will help with improving mindset as it relates to health. I want every patient to feel comfortable in their body now while working towards a healthier tomorrow.
Your first session with Shalese
In the first session, you can expect a positive environment where I learn more about your history including food and medical. I want to learn about your health goals and expectations. We will also set achievable goals and focus on non scale victories.
