About Shaliese
Food and making things with my hands have always belonged together for me. I’m an RDN with an MS in Human Nutrition from the University of Alabama and three years working in hospitals and virtual care settings. I also carry IFNCP training into clinical thinking, which helps me blend science with real-life problem solving. When I’m not with patients you might find me cooking, designing furniture, woodworking, knitting, tending my garden, or photographing small moments.
Approach to care
I center care on the whole person, using evidence-based strategies that respect your life and goals. We'll cut through diet culture and focus on behaviors that support long-term wellbeing, not quick fixes. I’m warm and direct at the same time, offering clear, actionable steps while teaching you the why behind each choice. Together we'll honor your physical, mental, and emotional needs, working weight-neutrally and sustainably so changes stick.
Your first session with Shaliese
Expect a relaxed, judgement-free conversation where we’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have. I’ll take time to understand your relationship with food, your routines, and what feels hard right now, so we can set short-term, achievable goals together. You don’t need to have everything figured out. By the end of the visit we'll have a clear plan and a couple of practical next steps to get started.
