About Shane

I am a Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer with over 20 years of experience working with clients of all ages and circumstances. I am passionate about women's health at the various stages of life; from adolescence through pregnancy, to postpartum, menopause and beyond. I have interests in disordered eating and weight management, and focusing on prevention for longevity. I am a mother to three college aged children and started this quest for health and strength in my own life at age 15. I believe it is my responsibility to teach what I know and hopefully help and inspire as many people as I can.

Approach to care

I am extremely passionate about helping people feel in control of their health, and like to use practical, yet effective means to improve nutrition and wellness. Nutrition intervention is part of a much larger picture that includes an overall assessment of a clients lifestyle. It is very much a multifaceted approach that includes attention to both the mind and body. I have extensive experience with exercise instruction as well, and can assist clients with both fitness and nutrition programming.

Your first session with Shane

On our first session we will take a deep dive into the issues and areas of focus that you would like to work on, and analyze your current routine and lifestyle. There will be some education and specific recommendations as well as instruction on how to effectively improve your health and wellness. I try to create a friendly, supportive, and comfortable atmosphere where we can openly discuss all things related to health and work together to successfully reach your goals.
