About Shannon

Hey there! I’m Shay, a registered dietitian with experience working with disordered eating, GI disorders, sports nutrition, and general wellness. I focus on supporting the whole person while creating a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients can improve digestive health, build confidence with food, and develop realistic, sustainable habits.

Approach to care

My nutrition philosophy is rooted in balance, flexibility, and individuality. I believe nutrition should support both physical health and a positive relationship with food, not rely on rigid rules or unnecessary restriction. Using an integrative and functional nutrition perspective, I consider the whole person including digestion, stress, movement, sleep, and daily routines, rather than focusing on isolated symptoms. I approach digestive health with care, prioritizing nourishment, variety, and sustainability, especially for those with a history of disordered eating. I take a weight-inclusive, non-judgmental approach and believe meaningful change comes from small, realistic adjustments that build confidence, consistency, and trust in one’s body over time. Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients with the knowledge and support they need to make informed, sustainable choices that fit their lifestyle and support long-term well-being.

Your first session with Shannon

Your first session is all about understanding your story and getting to know you and what you’re hoping to gain from nutrition support. We’ll talk through your health history, nutrition concerns, daily routines, and goals, as well as any digestive concerns or challenges you’ve been experiencing, along with what has or hasn’t felt helpful in the past. The session is conversational and paced around your comfort level. By the end of our visit, we’ll identify key priorities and create a few personalized, realistic next steps so you leave feeling supported, informed, and clear on how we’ll move forward together.
