About Shannon
Hello there! I am a Registered Dietitian passionate about pediatric and family nutrition. Whether you are a parent in the throes of feeding a newborn, have a child with a unique medical/developmental journey requiring specific nutrition care, or are seeking to take strides in your family’s health goals, you have come to the right place! There is immense pressure on parents and countless sources for information on how to feed your family. My role as your dietitian is to meet you and your family where you are and provide the education, support and practical solutions needed to nourish your family with confidence. I have worked with individuals of all ages in my 6 years as a dietitian, affording me hands-on experience in a variety of life stages. As a mother myself, I can empathize with the need for flexibility and encouragement when it comes to making lifestyle changes. I look forward to working with you as we create a healthier life for you and your family!
Approach to care
My approach is rooted in compassion and understanding you and your family’s unique story. I will always see you as an individual first, not a problem to solve, lab result or number on a scale. Seeking to understand your goals, challenges and priorities so that together we can create actionable steps that feel sustainable and empowering. As a food-loving dietitian, I aim to help you see where the foods that carry memories, cultural significance or simply bring you joy to eat can align with you and your family’s health goals. I utilize evidenced-based treatments, medical nutrition therapy and creative solutions that support long term habit change. My goal is to create a safe space, where we work together at a pace that honors you and your family's needs to build lasting habits that can transform your health.
Your first session with Shannon
Our first session together will be a productive conversation getting to know each other and unpacking you and your family’s health history. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable sharing your story, current challenges, what has worked in the past and what has not. We will begin identifying long term health goals and together decide on sustainable steps you can begin taking towards those goals. We will take time to discuss forms of education and communication that offer you the support you need. By the end of the first session, you will have clear goals, realistic first steps and confidence that you have my support throughout the process.
