About Shannon
I am a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorder treatment. I love working with adolescents and adults of all ages as they navigate recovery from eating disorders, disordered eating and/or chronic dieting. I'm also passionate about assisting individuals in other health conditions that present either independently or co-occuring with eating disorders such as gastrointestinal challenges, diabetes, thyroid conditions, etc.
Approach to care
I am Health at Every Size aligned and offer a weight neutral approach to nutrition therapy, utilizing the Intuitive Eating principles to assist individuals in healing their relationship with food and their body. I approach each case in a holistic manner as it's the complexities within one's life that often shape how people interact with food. In a culture that constantly prescribes what we should eat and how we should live, my approach to nutrition therapy centers on respecting individual autonomy. I aim to guide clients in making informed choices that are realistic, sustainable, and aligned with their personal values, beliefs, and lived experiences.
