About Shannon
Hi, I'm Shannon. I'm a Registered Dietitian with four years of experience and a BS in Dietetics from the University of Kentucky. I've spent time in sports nutrition and I'm passionate about helping people build a healthier relationship with food that fits their life. When I'm not working, you'll find me in the kitchen cooking or baking, or moving my body through pilates and weight lifting. I love spending time in the sun and learning each patient's unique story, especially their why, so we can design a plan that feels doable and real.
Approach to care
My care philosophy centers on collaboration, evidence, and lasting change. I base my guidance on current research while staying curious about your life and your values. We'll work together to build practical, clear steps you can actually do, with accountability that feels supportive rather than judgmental. I practice with a weight-neutral, HAES-informed mindset, focusing on behaviors that support health rather than chasing a number. My approach is holistic and educational, helping you understand the why behind recommendations and how small, sustainable habits add up.
Your first session with Shannon
In our first appointment, our focus is you. We'll review your medical history, talk about your daily routines, and clarify what short-term goals feel attainable. This is a judgment-free, low-pressure conversation designed to understand your why and how nutrition fits into your life. Together we'll identify 1-2 realistic goals and outline small, sustainable steps to start this week. You don't need to have it all figured out yet; we'll build the plan together.
