About Shannon

Welcome! I am a Registered Dietitian with a Master's from West Chester University located near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have been a Registered Dietitian practicing in the Washington Metro area for four years! As a Registered Dietitian, I believe that nutrition is both a science and a deeply personal journey. My goal is to empower you with credible information, practical tools, and ongoing support so you can make confident, informed choices that align with your values and goals. Let’s work together to nourish your body, support your health, and create a balanced approach to eating that fits your life.

Approach to care

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, but it’s guided by the unique goals, preferences, and lifestyles of the individuals I work with. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans. Instead, I collaborate with each client to create realistic, sustainable strategies that support long-term health and well-being. Whether you're navigating a medical condition, looking to improve your relationship with food, or simply seeking guidance to feel your best, I’m here to support you with compassionate and practical care.

Your first session with Shannon

In your first session with Shannon, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we’ll focus on building rapport. During this time, we will have a more personalized conversation including your health history, eating habits, lifestyle, nutrition-related goals, and any challenges you’re facing. Here you can prepare to discuss your current diet, medical conditions (if any), medications, activity levels, and any other information that may be helpful in creating your personalized nutrition plan of care! Together, your dietitian and you can set realistic and personalized goals based on your needs. I look forward to working with you!

Education

I went to West Chester University where I received my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Hobbies

I am a huge foodie (shocker!) and love to try new restaurants with my friends! In my free time I enjoy going to the gym and reading a good book. I have a 6 month old miniature dachshund that has become my whole life so I spend a lot of time with her and taking her to the park.
