About Sharon
Hi, I'm Sharon. With 25 years as a Registered Dietitian, I earned my BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Kent State University and have worked in clinical settings, private practice, and as an education specialist for Pharmavite Nature Made Vitamins. I live in Shaker Heights Ohio, and I love guiding people toward healthier relationships with food through science and compassion. I also teach yoga, a practice that supports mindfulness and stress reduction. When I’m not meeting with clients, you’ll find me exploring local trails, cooking with simple ingredients, or sharing quiet moments with family. I’m grateful to bring warmth, curiosity, and practical wisdom to every session.
Approach to care
My care philosophy is simple: we’ll work together using an evidence-based framework that respects your life, body, and goals. I believe in Health At Every Size, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than quick fixes or dieting cultures. You’ll be welcomed in a judgment-free, empathetic space where you’re heard and supported. My approach is direct and action-oriented, translating science into practical steps that fit your day. I value a holistic view, considering sleep, stress, mood, and social factors as they influence eating. Education is a pillar, empowering you to make informed choices at your own pace.
Your first session with Sharon
Think of our first appointment as a conversation about you. We'll review your medical history, dive into your relationship with food, and discuss what a sustainable path could look like. We'll review lab work and biometrics as pieces of a larger story, then establish small short-term goals you can start this week. The focus is on building trust and a plan you feel good about, not on judgment or perfection. You don't need to arrive with all the answers; together, we’ll map a patient-centered plan that respects your pace and supports steady progress.
