About Sharon

Hello, I’m Sharon! I am a Registered Dietitian living in San Antonio, Texas and I am looking forward to the opportunity to help you improve your nutritional health. I am a big proponent of the belief that food should make your life more enjoyable, generally feel good, and not get in the way of you achieving a healthy life. While I was in school working towards a degree in nutrition, I gained weight after years of never having to give any thought to what I should or should not eat. The extra pounds did nothing to help me deal with my own health issues. My eating habits only added to the stress of getting through school. So, I can appreciate how frustrating and hard adjusting what you eat can be.

Approach to care

I will work with you to build a nutrition plan that will not disrupt your daily living routine. I am a Registered Dietitian who is a proponent of creating a healthy life style, I want you to learn that the difficulty of changing your diet will be outweighed by the joy and enthusiasm you will achieve by feeling healthier. I have found the amount of information on the Internet, magazines and television on what diet or foods are best for you can be overwhelming. But together, I can help you build a diet plan that aids in dealing with the challenges you face daily.

Your first session with Sharon

During our first meeting I want to spend time learning about how your health issues have impacted your ability to get through the day, and what changes to your daily eating habits you have tried and how they have worked for you. I will help you understand that the way you look and feel is not dependent on one specific diet. Once I learn what problems your health issues have created for you, we can start building a diet plan that contains goals for the amount of carbohydrate, protein and fat you take in. We will also discuss what your goals are for feeling healthier. Then we can dive into determining what foods to incorporate into your meal plan. My primary objective is to get you feeling better.
