About Sharon
With over 30 years of experience in food and nutrition, I am a registered dietitian who blends a genuine love of food and nature with a caring attitude. My career spans clinical nutrition, food service management, education, and tele-health, allowing me to deliver practical, compassionate care tailored to each individual. Outside of my professional work, I am a beekeeper, gardener, and home cook—passions that deepen my appreciation for where food comes from and the joy it brings. I really enjoy sharing this love of simple, wholesome and realistic ingredients with clients to inspire sustainable, nourishing eating habits that work for you. As a National Board Certified teacher, I am skilled at making nutrition education accessible and engaging. I believe in nurturing not just health, but a positive relationship with food that honors culture, creativity, and connection.
Approach to care
My approach to your care is simple: it’s all about you and what you need. I'm here to guide you—not to guilt you. Together, we’ll have honest, open conversations and come up with a plan that fits your unique journey toward better health. I will listen, and work with you to find what really works for your lifestyle at this moment in your life. It’s all about teamwork, trust, and support, so you feel confident and motivated every step of the way. Your health and happiness come first, and I'm right there with you, cheering you on.
Your first session with Sharon
We’ll start by talking about your health history, lifestyle, eating habits, and goals. This helps me understand your unique needs and how best to support you. I’ll ask detailed questions about your current diet, medical conditions, medications, and any challenges you face with food. If you have recent lab results food journals or medical records, please have them ready to share. Based on what we discuss, we’ll set realistic and personalized nutrition goals that fit your lifestyle and preferences. I’ll provide tailored advice on meal planning, recipe modifications, or strategies to improve your relationship with food, manage symptoms, or address any food access concerns. You’ll have time to ask questions, and we’ll outline the plan for follow-up visits or additional support. This journey is all about you!
