About Shawna
Hi, I'm Shawna, a Registered Dietitian with a passion for turning science into everyday life. I earned my MS in Nutrition and Dietetics from Grand Canyon University and have practiced in clinical hospital settings and in private practice. In my first year as an RD, I’ve learned that lasting change comes from curiosity, steady support, and small, doable steps you can actually follow. Outside of work, I love reading, hiking, and spending time with my fiancé and our two dogs. I’m excited to meet you where you are and build a plan that fits your life.

My care philosophy is grounded in evidence and compassion, blending current science with a holistic view of you as a whole person. We’ll work together in a warm, nonjudgmental space where your questions matter and your goals lead our plan. I believe in durable habits and a weight-neutral, Health at Every Size informed approach that emphasizes behaviors, nourishment, sleep, and stress management. I’ll educate and empower you so you can make decisions that fit your life, values, and long term health.
Your first session with Shawna
Our first appointment is a conversation about you. We’ll review your medical history, any lab work or biometrics you’ve had, and set short term goals together. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet; I’m here to listen and help you clarify what matters most. We’ll explore your daily routines, favorite foods, and barriers, then map a practical next step that feels doable. Together we’ll create a plan that respects your life and supports sustainable progress.
