About Shay
Hi there! Iām Shay, a registered dietitian who practices the philosophy that "all foods fit" and understands there is not a one-size-fits-all method when it comes to someoneās nutrition. I have a variety of experiences in nutrition education, but my specialty is one-on-one counseling. I love working with people on their personal relationship with food and helping each discover their own potential.
Approach to care
My approach to care is patient-centered with evidence-based interventions. I focus on making an individual plan based on what goals you want to achieve and where you currently are on your health journey. This will regularly involve nutrition education, looking at your relationship with food, and reflecting on how food makes you feel both physically and mentally. We will work together to make sustainable changes that make you feel both empowered and confident in your nutrition journey.
Your first session with Shay
Your life has many components to it, like one big puzzle with many of the pieces being affected by food in some way. Your initial session will be us discovering this puzzle. We will review your medical history, eating habits, weekly schedule, food preferences, family dynamics, and more. All these puzzle pieces need to be taken into consideration so that together we can create a nutrition plan tailored to you and your health goals.
