Hi, I'm Shayna. I'm a Detroit-based Registered Dietitian with ten years of experience across clinical settings, private practice, and community health. I earned a BS in Dietetics and a Masters in Social Work, and I bring the RDN credential into every session. Outside of work, I love yoga, walking, cooking, dancing, listening to music, traveling, catching up with friends, and cuddling my two cats. My care philosophy is grounded in current science, empathy, and partnership. I believe in an evidence-based approach that respects your life, values, and goals, and centers on sustainable changes rather than quick fixes. I meet you with warmth, curiosity, and nonjudgmental support, helping you understand your relationship with food and its connection to mood, sleep, and energy. I practice a holistic, educational approach that honors your whole self and a weight-neutral path your body can trust. We'll move forward together, step by step.

Your first session with Shayna

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll review your medical history and current health concerns, and dive into your relationship with food in a nonjudgmental way. You don't need to have every detail ready; we'll explore your routines, challenges, and goals and how they fit into your everyday life. We'll set 1–2 short-term, realistic goals and outline a simple plan to start. Throughout, we'll work together, creating a supportive path that respects your pace and builds lasting habits.
