About Shelby
Food and making things by hand have always felt connected to me, whether I'm shaping clay at my wheel or threading beads into a new necklace. I earned a B.S. in Nutrition & Dietetics and have four years working as an RD in private practice, helping people find realistic ways to feel better day to day. I bring a warm, down-to-earth style to sessions, and my creative hobbies like ceramics, jewelry making, and dancing influence how I problem-solve with clients. Together we'll build plans that fit your life, not the other way around.
Approach to care
Nutrition care should be rooted in solid science and also fit into the life you actually live. I use evidence-based strategies through a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral lens, focusing on behaviors and health markers rather than numbers. I'm empathetic and judgment-free, and I give clear, actionable steps so you always know the next move. We will address the whole person, including stress, sleep, and routines, and I teach the why behind recommendations so you can make sustainable choices that last.
Your first session with Shelby
Expect a calm, nonjudgmental conversation where we'll review your medical history and talk about what feels helpful and what feels hard. You don't need to have everything figured out or perfect records, bring what you can and we'll fill in the rest together. I'll listen, ask targeted questions, and we will co-create one or two realistic priorities to get started. My goal is to leave you with clear, doable next steps and confidence that we're moving forward together.
