About Shelby

Broccoli, chicken, and ranch—that’s what I remember my mom making on the South Beach Diet. While I wasn’t impacted by diet culture as a kid, it wasn’t until my internship as a Dietitian that I found myself tangled in it. The stress led to calorie restriction and feelings of guilt. This experience shifted my focus to helping others break free from disordered eating and build a healthier, balanced relationship with food. As a Dietitian and personal trainer, I’m passionate about combining nutrition and fitness to help people feel stronger, healthier, and empowered.

Approach to care

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by all the rules surrounding food? Imagine a way of eating that truly supports your unique needs, one that brings energy, strength and balance without the constant worry or restriction. Together, we will build a sustainable, science-based plan that fits your goals and lifestyle, whether your focus is enhancing performance, achieving a healthy weight, or feeling at peace with food.

Your first session with Shelby

In your first session, we’ll take a deep dive into where you’re at with your nutrition, goals, any challenges you’re facing, and what areas you’d like support in moving forward. Together, we’ll explore practical, realistic changes that feel doable and sustainable for you. If we’re a good fit, we’ll outline a plan for our future sessions to ensure we’re heading in the right direction to reach your long-term goals. Expect a safe, open space where we can talk honestly and work collaboratively toward the goals that matter most to you. Your journey is unique, and my approach is all about supporting you every step of the way.

Hobbies

Trail/mountain running is my true love and living in Alaska provides epic places to explore and race! I most recently completed my first marathon and am venturing into ultra races in the coming year. I currently have four dogs and four cats, all of which have been rescued and/or foster fails (I just want to keep them all!) I still have a passion for cooking and baking, and actually spent 10 years creating custom decorated sugar cookies for all sorts of events.
