About Shelby
I'm Shelby Uggen, a registered dietitian. I grew up in Dallas, Texas and went to Texas A&M University for my undergraduate degree in nutrition. I then moved to Boston, Massachusetts to attend Simmons University for my master's degree and my dietetic internship. I focused my education on eating disorder care and sports nutrition but I also found a passion for clinical dietetics.
Approach to care
I approach care with a holistic mindset. I know that can sound scary but what I mean is treat you as a whole person instead of treating symptoms. I will meet you where you are at and we will approach nutrition from the ground up to make a healthier you!
Your first session with Shelby
In our first session we will focus on why you are seeing a dietitian and your nutrition and medical history. I will ask a million questions but they are all related to your health. This will help me get to know you and how I will best be able to work with you to meet goals.
