About Shelley
Hello! I live in Tennessee with my wonderful husband and two sons ages 6 and 3. I’ve been a Registered Dietitian for over 14 years and during that time I’ve had experience in long term care, hospital’s inpatient and outpatient facilities, dialysis clinics and nutrition counseling via telehealth for a variety of health conditions. I have gained a wealth of nutrition knowledge over the years and love to share it with others. I love working one on one with people and building relationships that help me gain insight to my clients needs.
Approach to care
I am your partner and will be here for YOU every step of the way. Although there is a great deal of misinformation out there, I’m here to help clear it up. I like to concentrate on fueling our bodies with nourishing foods and avoid calling foods “good” or “bad.” I’m here to listen and help you reach your goals in turn improving your quality of life. I have struggled with unhealthy eating patterns of my own and am empathetic to the difficulty of making healthy changes in your life. My hope is that you will feel comfortable with me and are able to share your goals and aspirations knowing I’m here to help you! I can’t wait for the opportunity to start working with you.
Your first session with Shelley
In our first session I will tell you about myself and ask you several questions to get to know you and what a day in your life looks like. This will enable me to better understand your norm and how to help you move forward and overcome some of the challenges you face. I will provide you with nutrition education based on your needs as well. We’ll work together to establish 2 to 3 short- and long-term goals based on your needs. Don’t worry, we can and probably will adjust these goals if needed throughout our weekly sessions.
