About Shelly
Hello! Nutrition has been my passion since my teenage years. I was first introduced to it when my older sister was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. A few years ago, I was also diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease and Lupus. This was an extremely challenging time in my life, as I experienced severe symptoms. I used all my nutrition knowledge alongside medication to regain optimal health, which led me to discover a whole new side of nutrition. It amazes me how powerful nutrition is. As I continue to explore this field, my passion for it grows every day.
Approach to care
As an integrative Dietitian, my approach combines evidence-based nutrition with a holistic view of health. I believe in finding balance—helping clients nourish their bodies while still enjoying their favorite foods. Rather than restrictive diets, I focus on sustainable habits that support long-term well-being. I advocate for my clients, empowering them to make informed choices and address the root causes of their health concerns. By integrating medical nutrition therapy with a personalized, whole-body approach, I help clients achieve optimal health while maintaining a lifestyle they love.
Your first session with Shelly
In your first session, we’ll take a deep dive into your health history, lifestyle, and nutrition habits. I’ll ask about your goals, challenges, and any medical concerns to create a personalized plan tailored to your needs. Together, we’ll discuss realistic strategies, including how to incorporate your favorite foods while optimizing your health. This session is all about getting to know you and setting a strong foundation for your journey toward better nutrition and well-being.
