About Sherrie
Aloha! My name is Sherrie, and I'm a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) and Certified Health and Wellness Coach (CHWC). For the past 30 years, my passion has been motivating people to become healthier. My professional work experience includes 15+ years as a telehealth dietitian, 5 years as CDC Diabetes Prevention Program lifestyle coach, and as a staff dietitian in outpatient diabetes education programs, in-center dialysis facilities, hospitals, long-term care, weight management and community-based nutrition programs.
Approach to care
As a wellness dietitian, I partner with individuals seeking self-directed, lasting changes aligned with their strengths, values, and lifestyle. As we work together, my goal as an RD coach is to combine my expertise in human nutrition with my coaching skills in order to unleash motivation to reach your personal health goals while meeting you at your level of readiness. I am always striving to display unconditional positive regard for my clients, and believe in one's capacity for change, while ensuring that all interactions are respectful and display a judgment-free approach. I believe in a holistic approach to health, whereby optimal well-being is achieved when mind, body, spirit, and creative energies are aligned to meet one's goals and purpose.
Your first session with Sherrie
Your first visit is all about you. It’s a welcoming, supportive space where we’ll begin building a partnership rooted in trust and mutual respect. Our initial session may include: 1) a relaxed, in-depth conversation about your health history, eating patterns, and daily routine 2) nutrition assessment to understand lifestyle, medical history and nutritional needs 3) assessing your readiness for change and exploring what’s worked (and not worked) in the past 4) setting expectations for your health journey 5) individualizing a plan with goals tailored to your preferences, strengths, and lifestyle, and 6) scheduling recurring follow ups to ensure ongoing support and continuity. Whether you're seeking support with nutrition, energy levels, emotional well-being, or just for accountability, our time together is designed to empower—not overwhelm—you. This visit sets the foundation for ongoing collaboration, where I can be there to support you as we work towards your health goals.
