About Shveta
Hi! My name is Shveta, and I am a Registered Dietitian with over four years of experience supporting individuals in long-term care and rehabilitation settings in New York. Working closely with older adults has taught me the value of patience, empathy, and truly personalized nutrition care. Along the way, I’ve also worked with patients managing a variety of conditions—from diabetes and heart disease to weight-related concerns. That experience has shown me how unique each person’s journey is, and why nutrition care must always be tailored to the individual. In addition to my clinical work, I’ve been actively involved in community nutrition efforts—volunteering with food banks, partnering with farmers markets, and leading cooking classes that promote simple, nourishing meals.
Approach to care
My goal is to support you in feeling your best — physically, emotionally, and socially. Food is deeply personal, and I believe it should be nourishing in every sense of the word. My approach is rooted in curiosity, flexibility, and compassion, while always focusing on practical strategies that fit your real life. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all plan—my job is to help you discover what works for you. You’ll always have a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and empowered to make meaningful, sustainable changes. I use evidence-based recommendations combined with intuitive eating principles, focusing on mindfulness, flexibility, and building habits that last. Whether you’re looking to manage blood sugar, lower cholesterol, support your heart, improve energy, or simply feel more at ease with food, I’ll meet you where you are and guide you forward.
Your first session with Shveta
Our first session is about building trust and creating a plan that feels realistic for you. I’ll take a comprehensive look at your medical history, eating patterns, lifestyle, and personal preferences to set meaningful goals together. You’ll leave with 1–2 clear, realistic steps to start right away, giving you momentum and confidence. If you’re ready to take the next step toward a healthier, more balanced relationship with food, I’d be delighted to support you. Let’s build something sustainable, together.

Hobbies
Outside of my work, I love slowing down and enjoying simple pleasures—whether it’s walking in nature, exploring small towns, browsing local bookshops, or discovering new coffee spots. Baking is another favorite of mine; it reminds me that food is about joy and connection as much as it is about nourishment.
