About Sissell

I’m a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist who helps people build a healthier, more confident relationship with food. I focus on realistic weight management, balanced eating, and simple habits that fit your everyday life, while also supporting clients who want to improve or protect their kidney health. My philosophy is no restriction, no guilt, and no “perfect” rules — just a supportive approach that allows you to enjoy the foods you love while still reaching your goals. I keep things practical, sustainable, and tailored to your routine so you never feel overwhelmed. Whether you’re working toward weight loss, better energy, long-term healthy habits, or want guidance on how your food choices impact kidney health, I’m here to help you do it in a way that feels clear, compassionate, and doable in real life.

Approach to care

My approach is non-diet, flexible, and focused on real-life habits. I don’t believe in strict meal plans, cutting out your favorite foods, or chasing perfection. Instead, we build a plan around your lifestyle, culture, preferences, and goals. I’ll help you understand how food affects your body — including weight, energy levels, and kidney health — and translate that into simple steps you can confidently take every day. You can expect a supportive, judgment-free environment where progress is celebrated, challenges are normal, and we work together at a pace that feels right for you.

Your first session with Sissell

Your first session is all about you. We’ll talk through your goals, your eating habits, your routine, and anything that’s been getting in the way — without pressure or judgment. If you have labs or kidney-related questions, we can review those together in plain language. By the end of the session, you'll have: A clear understanding of your goals Insight into how your current habits support your health Simple, realistic steps to start with right away A plan for how we’ll move forward together You’ll leave feeling heard, supported, and confident about your next steps — not overwhelmed.
