About Sollange
Hello and welcome! My name is Sollange and I'm from Trinidad & Tobago. I've been a dietitian for 12 years and nutrition is very much a big part of my life. I enjoy diving into the latest nutrition research but what's most rewarding for me is distilling the science into bite size information that is practical for everyday living. If you're overwhelmed with all the nutrition information out there or feel like you're on the "struggle bus" and have tried EVERYTHING, then I'm here for you! If you are trying to make healthier choices while incorporating your traditional foods, book a session with me. You do not have to do this alone.
Approach to care
I will meet you where you are but I do require that you are all in as we embark on your journey towards better health. You will be held accountable while being supported along the way. My goal is that by the end of our time together you will have the tools necessary for long lasting lifestyle change.
Your first session with Sollange
We'll get to know each other during your first session and learn how I can support you best. I'd collect information such as medical history, the types of food you eat, your schedule (work, kids, other activities). I'd like to know what your goals are as well as barriers to achieving those goals. I'd also set expectations about the support you will receive from me and your role in owning your health. I am excited that you're here and look forward to working with you!
Education
I graduated from Howard University with a degree in Nutrition Sciences in 2013.
