About Sophia

Hello! My name is Sophia, and I'm a registered dietitian excited to partner with you on your nutrition journey. With experience in outpatient settings, I've had the privilege of working with individuals focusing on weight management, including those on GLP-1 medications and post-bariatric surgery. I also have a strong background in providing individualized nutrition counseling to foster positive lifestyle changes, modify behaviors, and enhance overall wellness. I'm here to help you redefine your relationship with food, moving past the common "all or nothing" trap. My goal is to equip you with real-world, sustainable skills that you can apply every day, focusing on the big picture of your health. When we work together, know that I'll always meet you at your current stage, striving to understand your needs and help you confidently navigate your path to becoming your healthiest, happiest self. I look forward to supporting a wide range of patients through Nourish!

Approach to care

My approach to nutrition counseling is built on collaboration, empathy, and practical application. I believe that genuine, lasting change happens when you feel truly heard and supported. You can expect a non-judgmental, safe space where we'll work together to understand your unique needs, habits, and goals. Instead of strict rules, we'll focus on building sustainable skills and an improved relationship with food that fits your life. My commitment is to meet you exactly where you are, providing personalized guidance every step of the way as you discover what works best for your health and well-being.

Your first session with Sophia

Our initial session is all about getting to know you! Think of it as a friendly conversation where we'll build rapport and I can truly understand your unique story, health goals, and any concerns you might have. We'll discuss your current eating patterns, lifestyle, and what you hope to achieve through nutrition counseling. This session is a safe space for you to share openly, and it's also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard, understood, and optimistic about the path ahead.
