About Starla

Hey there! I’m Starla, a registered dietitian, marathoner, and endurance athlete of more than 20 years — and I’ve had the honor of competing in the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials. I know what it takes to train hard, fuel properly, and perform your best. I help runners and endurance athletes figure out what, when, and how much to eat for optimal training and recovery. From dialing in your macros to managing fatigue, low iron, or GI distress, we’ll create a fueling plan that actually works for your goals and lifestyle. Let’s make your nutrition as strong as your training.

Approach to care

My approach blends sports nutrition science with real-world athlete experience. As a marathoner and dietitian, I understand that training and nutrition don’t exist in isolation — they have to fit your goals, schedule, and lifestyle. I use a collaborative and individualized approach, helping athletes learn to fuel with confidence by understanding their body’s needs, training phases, and performance goals. My goal is to help you make nutrition feel simple, sustainable, and powerful — both on and off the course.

Your first session with Starla

In our first session, we’ll talk through your training schedule, goals, and how you currently fuel before, during, and after workouts. I’ll help you understand what’s working, what might be missing, and how to start adjusting your nutrition to match your training demands. You’ll walk away with practical recommendations for energy intake, hydration, and recovery — plus a clear plan for the next few weeks so you can start feeling stronger, more energized, and more confident about your fueling.
