About Stephanie
Food and curiosity drew me into nutrition, and ten years as a Registered Dietitian have given me a wide lens on care. I trained with an MS in Clinical Nutrition and a BS in Human Nutrition, and have practiced in hospitals, outpatient clinics, research and academia, sports settings, corporate long term care, wellness centers, and private practice. Cooking, swimming, listening to audiobooks, and playing with my toddler keep me grounded. I've faced my own nutrition challenges, including intentional major weight loss at 21 and a recent health decline that led to receiving most of my nutrition through a j tube, so I can often relate to what patients are navigating.
Approach to care
I build care that is science-driven, compassionate, and practical. We'll use current evidence to guide decisions while focusing on the whole person, not a number on the scale. My work is weight-neutral and behavior-focused, aiming for sustainable habits that fit your life. I make things clear and actionable so we can set realistic steps, learn as we go, and adjust based on what actually works for you. Education and empathy are central, and we'll work together to create lasting, manageable change.
Your first session with Stephanie
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we review your medical history and explore your relationship with food. We'll talk about past attempts, routines, barriers, and what matters most to you. Together we'll identify two to three short-term goals that feel doable, and outline practical next steps. You don't need to have everything figured out, just come as you are, and we'll partner on a plan that respects your life and priorities.
