About Stephanie

My passion for nutrition was inspired by my athletic trainer who suggested I begin a food diary. I soon realized the power that nutrition plays in all of our lives. I’ve spent the last 4.5 years working as a clinical dietitian, delivering specialized medical nutrition therapy, in both hospital and outpatient settings. This has provided me with experience in a wide range of health conditions, including: heart disease, weight management, pre/post-surgery, women’s health, diabetes and oncology. I understand the struggle of making better food choices and vow to offer dietary solutions, provide education, and inspire you to create effective nutritional change in your journey to optimal health.

Approach to care

My approach to care is compassionate and client-centered, where I will strive to understand your personal health objectives through a holistic perspective. Combining practical nutrition education, with an "all foods fit" philosophy, mindful eating, evidenced-based practices, and creative menu ideas, we will create behavior change strategy goals that are attainable and sustainable. I encourage active participation and aim to foster a collaborative partnership with you while providing a safe and judgement-free space to share your story. I am here to support you in an open and easy-going environment and guide you to better health.

Your first session with Stephanie

My goal of the initial appointment is to build a comfortable rapport, discover your starting point, and collect the data I need to develop a personalized nutrition plan. In this first "getting to know each other" session, you will have the opportunity to share your story and health goals. You will spend time answering questions (nutrition assessment) about your life, including: dietary preferences and patterns, lifestyle and culture, stress factors, challenges, sleep patterns, activity, and medical history. We will discuss what you can expect moving forward and you will leave with at least one action item to begin your progress towards reaching a healthier you.

Hobbies

When I am not working, you'll find me on the tennis court, working on my latest puzzle, playing pickleball or exploring the outdoors. I enjoy walking my dog, Millie, cuddling my cat, Luna, reading a book, and cheering on my favorite sports team. I love to cook, travel, try new restaurants, scour my nearest farmer's market for new foods to try and spend time with my family and friends.
