Approach to care

Stephanie believes access to nutrition knowledge is a human right and that nutrition counseling should be individualized. When you work with Stephanie, you will be in a judgement-free zone. Stephanie believes in Health At Every Size and follows Intuitive Eating principles. Stephanie does not believe in "dieting", but instead practices evidenced-based Medical Nutrition Therapy. Stephanie will partner with you to help you accomplish your nutrition goals. She will give you the tools to make better food choices, while you will be the one who decides at what pace, and if, you will implement the recommended changes.

Your first session with Stephanie

During your first session, Stephanie will ask you questions related to your medical and nutrition history. This will include gathering information related to current and past medical diseases and conditions, food allergies, medication and supplement intake, anthropometric data (height and weight), lab values, typical food and fluid intake, as well as your nutrition-related goals. You will leave the first session with 1 achievable goal to work on prior to your next session.
