About Stephen
Hey there! My name is Stephen. I am currently working as a clinical dietitian in an acute care hospital and a physical rehab facility. In both of these roles I have experience providing nutritional education across many different health conditions and life cycles. I developed a passion for outpatient coaching and counseling from my internship at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center. This internship had a heavy focus clinical and outpatient care. I am a veteran of the United States Navy and spent a lot of time on deployments reading books on topics such as nutrition, fitness, holistic health, habit breaking/building, meditation, sleep etc. I think I have a great tool belt to help you be your best self.
Approach to care
My approach to care is to identify what you as an individual needs to thrive, then offer science based recommendations to help get you there. I find it beneficial to identify any possible barriers or challenges you may face during our first session to set you up for success. I have experienced and researched many topics across the health spectrum. Along with nutrition, I would like to help fine tune your sleep patterns, exercise levels, and hydration status if these are goals of yours. I aim to meet you where you are, build from there, and support you along the way.
Your first session with Stephen
My plan is to get to know you by diving into your lifestyle, habits and preferences. From there we will create small, reasonable, and sustainable goals. Goals to cover short term and long term needs. Ideally these will snowball into set habits and build onto each other. If not we will hit the drawing board and create a new plan. I am excited to be a part of your journey and look forward to supporting you in achieving your goals!
