About Summer

Hi there! I’m Summer :) Registered Dietitian, foodie, and your friendly guide to feeling good from the inside out. I began my career with the PHFE WIC program, where I quickly fell in love with women’s and children’s nutrition, especially the magical (and sometimes messy!) pre- and postnatal seasons of life. Along the way, I built meaningful relationships with families and had the honor of contributing to programs like Cinnamoms, which supports the health and wellness of African American families. My work has connected me with people from all walks of life and strengthened my skills in cultural sensitivity, equity, and supporting individuals and families with limited resources. I’m excited to walk alongside you, sharing personalized nutrition tools that help fuel, strengthen, and heal your body. Food is a beautiful part of life—it energizes us, brings us together, and sparks creativity.

Approach to care

As a dietitian, my approach blends intuitive eating with functional medicine, listening to your body, and getting curious about what’s happening behind the scenes. I help clients reconnect with hunger and fullness cues, ditch restrictive food rules, and rediscover the joy of eating (without guilt tagging along). Through a functional medicine lens, we’ll explore how nutrition, lifestyle, stress, gut health, and everyday habits all play a role in your well-being. Together, we’ll create sustainable strategies that support long-term health and build trust with your body. I use motivational interviewing as a sort of friendly strategy session which is brainstorming and encouragement to figure out what changes feel realistic for you and whether you’re ready for a small step… or a bold leap. I truly believe tiny, feasible tweaks can snowball into a lifestyle that feels natural, empowering, and even effortless. I’ll be right there to guide you and celebrate every win along the way :)

Your first session with Summer

And because I’m a big believer in connection and enjoying the process, our first session will start with some ice-breaking (no awkward vibes, promise). Then we’ll talk through your goals and concerns, and finish by brainstorming a clear, supportive plan for your very first steps toward better nutrition and health. I can’t wait to get started together!
