About Sunita

Food has always felt like a place of healing for me, which is why I pursued a Master's in Clinical Nutrition, and why I have spent 11 years working as an RDN and LD in hospitals and community health programs. I work with patients to support their health through nutrition because I believe healing starts with food, and I like to learn a little about your eating habits so I can support your recovery. Outside work you might find me on a trail hike, in a yoga class, tending my garden, meditating, or rearranging a room as part of my love for interior designing. I bring a human, practical perspective to clinical nutrition and community care.

Approach to care

Evidence guides the recommendations I offer, and compassion shapes how we get there. As an RDN trained with an MCN, I combine science-backed strategies with a warm, nonjudgmental approach so we can focus on sustainable habits, not quick fixes. We'll set clear, actionable steps and build skills together, while honoring your whole life, including mental and emotional wellbeing. I practice weight-neutral, behavior-focused care that empowers you through education, practical tools, and steady accountability so changes stick over the long term.

Your first session with Sunita

Expect a calm, collaborative conversation that centers your experiences rather than a quiz. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have, and I’ll ask about your daily eating patterns so we can identify what’s realistic for you. Together we'll establish one or two short-term goals to begin recovery and progress, and you do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. The visit is judgment-free and focused on clear next steps that fit your life.
