About Susan
Nutrition has been my compass for more than three decades. With 33 years as a Registered Dietitian and an MS in Human Nutrition, I’ve worked in hospitals, private practice, research and academia, community health programs, and with remote clients and families. I enjoy the problem-solving side of nutrition, whether managing complex medical issues or helping someone build lasting, sustainable habits. When I’m not at work you might find me traveling, kayaking, cooking for friends, or at a concert. I’m warm, open, and fully committed to using my experience to help you improve your life through nutrition and lifestyle.
Approach to care
I combine rigorous science with practical, down-to-earth coaching so we can build changes that last. Grounded in current research and free of diet culture, I use a weight-neutral lens that focuses on behaviors, function, and wellbeing rather than numbers. We'll set clear, doable actions and learn the why behind them, so you can make informed choices. My work is holistic and empathetic, honoring mental, emotional, and physical health while keeping us accountable and action-oriented.
Your first session with Susan
Think of the first visit as a relaxed conversation where we gather the information that matters most. We'll review your medical history, any lab work or biometrics you have, and talk about what’s been working and what hasn’t. Together we'll establish a few short-term goals and develop an understanding of your longer term aims, so we can plan sustainable steps forward. You don’t need to have all the answers coming in. We'll move at a pace that feels respectful and achievable for you.
