About Susan

Dietetics is my second career after 24 years as an investment advisor, where I learned to create individualized, results-driven plans for clients. In 2019, after overcoming my own GI challenges with the help of a dietitian, I returned to school to pursue nutrition. I began my career in the hospital setting, earning my Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) credential to manage enteral and parenteral nutrition. About 18 months ago, I transitioned to outpatient care, where I continue to help diverse patients. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, and traveling with my husband of 38 years, our four children, and three grandchildren.

Approach to care

I take a patient-centered approach to care, working collaboratively with you to help achieve your health and wellness goals. I do not believe in a “one-size-fits-all” method—each person’s biology and needs are unique. Your nutrition plan will be personalized and tailored specifically to your bioindividuality, ensuring it aligns with your body, lifestyle, and goals.

Your first session with Susan

The first session is what I like to call a “getting to know each other” appointment. During this time, I take a comprehensive look at your overall health and lifestyle. We’ll discuss your food preferences, any dislikes, and identify possible food allergies or intolerances. I’ll also review your medical and health history to better understand what factors may be influencing your nutrition and overall well-being. Equally important, this session is an opportunity for you to get to know me—my approach, philosophy, and how we’ll work together. I encourage open communication and welcome any questions you may have. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you feel heard and empowered from the very beginning.
