About Susan
Hi, I'm Susan, a Registered Dietitian with 23 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science from Howard University. I’ve spent most of my career in clinical and hospital settings, where I’ve learned that lasting health comes from compassionate, science-based guidance. I work with the balance of nourishing your body and supporting your well-being, not chasing quick fixes. I’m certified as an RDN and LDN, and I’m passionate about helping people live healthy lives. When I’m not at the clinic, I love spending time with my family and curling up with a movie or TV show.
Approach to care
My care philosophy blends evidence-based practice with Health At Every Size (HAES) and a warm, empathetic approach. I believe health is a journey, not a verdict, and I’ll meet you where you are with patience and respect. We’ll set practical, clear steps and track progress in a way that honors your life and preferences. My focus is on sustainable change, the whole person, and giving you the knowledge to make informed choices. Together we build a plan that fits your values and supports long-term health.
Your first session with Susan
Our first session is all about you. Think of it as a welcoming conversation where we reduce any nerves and set a comfortable pace. We’ll review your medical history and current lifestyle, discuss your relationship with food, and start to outline short-term goals. We’ll also look at lab work and biometrics in a way that helps us understand your unique picture. You don’t need to have it all figured out before we meet; together we’ll create a realistic plan and the next steps you can begin with confidence.
