About Tahera

Compassionate and detail‐oriented Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN, CDN) with 5+ years experience in acute care, critical care, and inpatient/outpatient nutrition management. Demonstrated success in performing comprehensive nutrition assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and improving patient outcomes through evidence‐based nutrition care.

Approach to care

As a Registered Dietitian, I provide evidence-based, compassionate nutrition counseling that is tailored to each individual’s unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. My approach emphasizes collaboration, empowerment, and sustainable behavior change rather than restrictive dieting. I use a patient-centered interaction that respects cultural preferences, medical history, and personal experiences with food. Nutrition education is practical and flexible, focusing on building skills, confidence, and a positive relationship with food. I work closely with clients to set realistic goals and develop personalized nutrition strategies that are both achievable and sustainable. Ongoing support, accountability, and adjustments are provided to ensure progress while honoring each client’s pace and priorities. My goal is to help individuals improve their health, feel empowered in their food choices, and create lasting habits that support overall wellness.

Your first session with Tahera

Your first nutrition counseling session is a comprehensive, supportive conversation designed to help me understand you as a whole person - not just your food choices. We’ll begin by reviewing your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and any medical conditions or lab work that may be relevant to your care. We’ll discuss your nutrition goals, past experiences with dieting or nutrition counseling, and any challenges you’re currently facing. Together, we’ll explore your eating patterns, preferences, cultural influences, and daily routines to create a personalized approach that fits your life. During this session, you can expect education that is practical and evidence-based, along with clear, realistic recommendations. Rather than strict meal plans or rules, we’ll focus on making small changes that will eventually help you achieve your nutrition goals.
