About Tamara

Tamara has been a registered dietitian for 10 years. At the beginning of her career, she spent a few years working at a large hospital in Gainesville, FL, where she gained experience in managing nutrition at all levels of clinical care. Later on, she specialized in helping patients with chronic kidney disease and dialysis while working at a dialysis clinic in Massachusetts. Besides that, Tamara has worked with women and children at WIC, with senior adults in the long term care setting and rehab, and has experience with menu planning and analysis. She is a lifelong learner and continues to evolve in her profession every day while counseling patients from various backgrounds.

Approach to care

Tamara enjoys helping her patients live their healthiest lives by empowering them to take control of their nutrition. Tamara will not push for restrictive diets and drastic results, but will surprise you by practicing an approach that you can enjoy your food, no matter what. She will help you set small, manageable goals and work toward achieving them slowly, step-by-step, while not drastically changing your lifestyle.

Your first session with Tamara

The first session with Tamara will start with a comprehensive nutrition assessment to get to know your medical background and nutritional habits, all within a casual conversation. This is the session when you explore your expectations from seeing a registered dietitian and set your first goal. You can expect a friendly and supportive environment and no judgement at any stage of the counseling process. Bring your concerns and ideas and let's chat!
