About Ta'Vianna

Hi, I'm Ta'Vianna (or you can call me Ta'Vi), a Registered Dietitian based in Jacksonville, Florida. I earned my BS and MS in Nutrition & Dietetics at the University of North Florida, and I bring a year from my dietetic internship of experience across clinical, private practice, and community health settings. When I'm not at work, you'll find me reading, thrift shopping, or trying new restaurants. I'm passionate about culturally competent care and meeting you where you are as we pursue sustainable change together.

Approach to care

My care philosophy centers on collaboration, evidence-based practice, cultural competence, and empathy. I believe nutrition counseling works efficient when it fits sustainably into your life and respects your body. We'll use current science to guide practical steps while honoring your values and experiences with a Health At Every Size approach. I strive to be empathetic and nonjudgmental, offering clear, action-oriented guidance and ongoing education so you can feel confident making choices that stick. Culturally competent care is important to me because food serves multiple functions in our lives besides nutrition such as in tradition/culture, religion, etc therefore we will create goals together that keeps your identity in mind. Together, we'll build sustainable habits that feel doable and right for you.

Your first session with Ta'Vianna

Our first appointment is all about you. We'll create a judgment-free, low-pressure space where you don't need to have it all figured out. We'll review your medical history, discuss lab work and biometrics if available, and explore your relationship with food. We will discuss what you typically eat in 24 hours. Together we'll identify 1-2 short-term goals that feel realistic, and we'll lay out a practical plan you can start on right away. You can expect honest collaboration, supportive feedback, and a clear sense of the next steps as we begin this journey together.
