About Taylor

Welcome! My name is Taylor, I have been a dietitian since 2016. Since starting my career about 10 years ago, my attitude and approach to nutrition has changed so much and a lot of that is due to the life experiences I’ve had and learning from my patients. In those 10 years I’ve gotten married, had 3 daughters (currently all under 6), and have moved 4 times! I am no stranger to the chaos of life and how difficult it can be to find time for yourself. I know how thinking about your health and nutrition can seem overwhelming when it feels like a struggle just to get dinner on the table. I've worked with a variety of clients ranging from neurodivergent kids who are "picky eaters" to middle aged persons navigating a new diagnosis unsure where to begin, to older adults looking to stay healthy through aging. My goal for us is to find a realistic plan that works for you and your lifestyle. I want you to walk away feeling empowered and capable, not stressed.

Approach to care

No matter what you’ve come here for, two things are important to me: you deserve to have a healthy relationship with food; and your path to wellness looks different than anyone else’s, you will not be compared to others or judged for anything. I practice with the attitude that you can be healthy no matter what your weight or size, that intuitive eating is more effective than following a meal plan, adding nutrients is more important than restricting, and health and nutrition is about way more than just what you put on your plate. Working with me will be a collaborative approach where we come up with a plan that is realistic to you and your lifestyle that will be effective to reach your desired health goals. I practice as it's my job to provide you with the knowledge, tools, and support for you to make lasting changes based on your goals.

Your first session with Taylor

Let's get to know each other! You can expect the usual overview of health history, current medications, and lab review (if available). However, I truly believe this is just one piece of the puzzle. I want to know what your life is like, who your support people are, what it's like to walk in your shoes for a day, why you are seeking change, and what you hope to accomplish by working with me. When we look at these pieces, it helps to create a more personalized plan that will work for you and helps me to know how best to support you in making these changes. In this first session we will cover these topics and start building a manageable plan so we both can walk away with a clear understanding of what's next.
