About Tera

I’ve been a Registered Dietitian for over 20 years, with the past 15 years focused on a behavior change program to prevent type 2 diabetes. As a mother of eight children, I understand the physical and emotional demands of pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Whether you're preparing your body for conception, navigating gestational changes, supporting milk supply, or rebuilding strength postpartum, I provide compassionate, individualized guidance grounded in both science and lived experience. I also have experience with natural fertility awareness approaches, including the Marquette Method and the Creighton Model, and enjoy helping clients understand how nutrition supports hormonal health and reproductive wellness.

Approach to care

I believe nutrition should feel supportive, not stressful. My care philosophy centers on practical, sustainable changes that fit into real life, especially during seasons like fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum that already require so much of you. With a background in behavior-change–based diabetes prevention, I focus on small, meaningful habits that improve metabolic health and hormonal balance over time. I prioritize evidence-based guidance and nourishment that supports both physical and emotional well-being. My role is to educate, collaborate, and empower, never to overwhelm. Together, we create a plan that works for your body, your goals, and your season of life.

Your first session with Tera

Our first session is focused on understanding you, your goals, your health history, and your current season of life. We’ll review your medical history, lab work (if available), menstrual or pregnancy history (if applicable), current symptoms, eating patterns, lifestyle factors, and any fertility or postpartum concerns. From there, we’ll identify 1–3 realistic, personalized nutrition priorities to begin working on. We'll focus on practical, sustainable steps that fit into your daily life. You’ll leave with: • Clear next steps • Education tailored to your goals • Practical strategies you can implement right away • A plan for follow-up support and accountability
