About Tessa

Hi there! My name is Tessa, and I've been working as a Registered Dietitian since 2019. My passion is to help others realize the power of nutrition and how to incorporate that into their lives in the most sustainable way possible. If you have ever questioned how to best fuel your body while also establishing a healthy relationship with food then you've come to the right gal! I love having conversations about life and how food impacts your day to day physical, mental and emotional health. I believe that a healthy relationship with food is at the center of our health and wellbeing, and I'm glad that you're here exploring what yours looks like.

Approach to care

My approach to care centers around focusing on you as an individual as every person has their own unique relationship with food and wellbeing. I focus primarily on an anti-diet and intuitive eating approach. I truly believe that your body knows best, and if we can pinpoint and listen to what the body is trying to tell us then that is the path that leads us to feeling our best!

Your first session with Tessa

First sessions are so exciting! It takes a lot to start on this journey and I'm so glad that you've taken the leap. This first session is going to revolve around getting to know each other. Expect lots of fun "get to know you" and food related questions! I want to know about you, your lifestyle, and your goals in order to develop a plan that's sustainable, realistic, and effective! We will always work together as a team and my goal is to make a comfortable and judgement free zone in order to prioritize you and your health. I can't wait to meet you!

I completed by Bachelors in Dietetics at Michigan State University. My dietetic internship was completed through Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.

Hobbies

I love to stay active with strength training, walking my dog, and a great Peloton class! I'm also a huge reader and would love any and all book recommendations. Other than that, I love spending time with my husband, family, and friends. People truly fill my cup!
